With the rise in popularity of granola, sports and nutrition bars, the need has arisen for higher-heat-load cooling tunnels to handle these denser items — as well as traditional bakery and confectionery products.
With these and other challenges — like trans fat-free cookie fillings that melt at lower temperatures and require customized heat transfer rates — Schebler stepped up and delivered the answer.
Our signature Cooling Tunnels feature combinations of convection, conduction and radiation cooling, zone control features, and cooling capabilities up to 500,000 Btu/hr. Further, our unique collaboration with Iowa State University has resulted in a proprietary computer model for calculating precise heat transfer rates — meaning your product exits at its target temperature, faster, without over-buying equipment or wasting energy.
